A little back story…
Since I could remember, I’ve always wanted to be a fashion designer. I asked for a sewing machine for Christmas in Kindergarten and finally got it when I was in second grade. I grew up thinking fashion was for me. Went to fashion school, entered the industry, thought I was going to stay in it for the rest of my life. Then, like everyone else, life happened. For me, it was a series of events which made me dig deep, really questioning whether I loved to design or thought I loved it.
It hit me, I wasn’t in love with it anymore. I had been having a series of dreams for over a year and wrote them all down in my notes on my phone every morning. One day I was eating lunch at work and decided to read the dreams and realized the dreams were continuous. I was left wondering what had happened? How did the story end?
So I started writing every day during my lunch breaks, filling in the blanks. I thought it would be a hobby until one of my favorite coworkers said, “What are you doing? Writing a book?”
I realized in that moment, it was what I should be doing. I should be writing a book.
I have always written short stories and always found myself creating novels in my head.
Here I am, years later. A full time mom of two by day, and a life coach and novelist by night.
With a wonderful supportive husband and a dream (literally!), Light of the Enkeli is finished and I am currently in the middle of writing the sequel!
